A dive into the visual identity of Hackaday Superconference 2024. Tech-driven event, with a cohesive design language across both physical and digital assets.
Event Identity & Assets
Welcome to a dive into the visual identity of Hackaday Superconference 2024. For this tech-driven event, we crafted a cohesive design language across both physical and digital assets to create a memorable attendee experience. This collection includes everything from logo concepts to custom merchandise and presentation assets.
The Logo
The Hackaday Superconference logo is the event’s core symbol, representing both the cutting-edge tech themes and the community-driven spirit of the conference. Crafted to be bold, recognizable, and versatile, this logo sets the tone for the event’s branding across all materials. The pill shape was chosen as well with the custom font S8 (more alphabet characters were done but these were chosen due to the space occupied).
T-Shirts & Merchandise
From t-shirts to coffee mugs, we designed a range of custom merchandise that captures the energy and ethos of the Hackaday Superconference. Each item is created not only as a keepsake but as a piece of wearable identity, bringing attendees together as part of the conference experience. Starting from the logo we illustrated a simplified modular rack with patch wires running from module to module.
Main illustration
At the heart of the conference’s visual identity is a custom illustration of a modular rack with dynamic patch wires linking each module. This design is both functional and symbolic, capturing the spirit of customization and hands-on creativity that defines the conference. Mirroring the event’s physical badge, which was also modular, this graphic emphasizes the interconnectedness of ideas and the DIY ethos of the Hackaday community. It served as a visual anchor across various materials, reinforcing the conference’s innovative, tech-forward theme.
The essentials
The essentials – lanyards, water bottles, and other merch and materials – were designed with both utility and style in mind. These items contribute to a cohesive, branded experience for attendees while offering functional keepsakes that echo the conference’s tech vibe.
Digital Assets
A seamless experience for virtual and in-person attendees was key. We also developed digital assets including speaker presentation videos, event slides, and social media graphics to bring a polished and consistent look across all digital channels, enhancing the visual narrative of the conference.
